Velvet shawl collar jacket

I bought this in size 14, which is my regular "top" size. It fits well. Bottom of jacket sets above hips, which is not a great look for a pear. I am larger up top...so I think it will still work. The color is beautiful...dark purple...so a neutral for me

Bought this in the dark purple & it is a beautiful neutral! The fit is spot on. I am a 36D, 5'6", 170# lady & the 14 fit me beautifully. I will wear this A LOT

One caution is that the jacket closes a bit "high"...it is not a deep V at all. The button is right below the bust.

I was expecting the lushness of velvet: the material in this garment is stiff and not luxuriant , like true velvet. Back it goes. I am really disappointed, as I ordered both the gray and the purple, and was excited about getting two velvet jackets.

This is a really lovely blazer. The velvet seems like a great quality. I'm 5'2" and it hits mid-hip on me so it may be too short for a taller person. The sleeve are a bit crazy. Since it's lined velvet, a rolled up sleeve means there is an absurd amount of fabric right at your wrists which doesn't work since I'm the computer all day. I'm having the sleeves shortened. Even though it says dry clean only, I washed it on cold and line dryed and it didn't seem to suffer at all from that. I'd definitely recommend it.
