Chiffon dreams dress

I've always wanted a red dress, so I was very excited to receive this. Unfortunately, I found the fit to be rather strange. I am a true hour glass, so dresses usually fit me well. Purchased in my proper size, but the waist hit at a very unflattering spot which then my hips look much wider than they are. F.Y.I: I have the shrug that is listed as "made to go with" in black and red, and it they both look dreadful with the dress.

I bought this dress for a special night out, but was very disappointed. The straight red slip had a snug fit and rode up my leg whenever I sat down. Also, the split panel skirt is such a bad idea--I was self conscious about the skirt falling to the side (revealing my legs) whenever I sat down. The fabric and drape of the dress were lovely. It is a fun dancing dress, but not practical for dinner.

I was so excited to get this in the mail, but when I got it and tried it on, it was entirely too high-waisted. The waist should have been on my natural waist and it ended up between my bust and my waist. Then the bottom was made up of sections of chiffon sewn around the top so if you sit down and aren't careful, a piece could fall to the side, exposing the red slip under the chiffon. So, returning it to the store. I wanted to love it...
