Time to shine dress

5'7", 125 lbs. Usually buy size 8. Bought size 10 which gives more length (2") above knee. Not so tight by sizing up,so when I sit down, I'm not having to pull to cover my legs. Like the black. Looks expensive. Lined, but lining "crawls" because it's knit. Good price.

I purchased the black version of this dress for the Official Presidential Inaugural Ball (2013) and it was perfect! The fit was true to size, the bling was tasteful and appropriate, and I received numerous compliments from total strangers! The lining conformed to my shape and the dress hung wonderfully. This was truly a winner.

This dress is gorgeous in black and definitely timeless. I liked what another reviewer said about having an evening dress with sleeves. I bought the size 10 (usually wear an 8 but were out and gambled the 10 would fit) I am 5 foot 9 weigh 150 pounds. Tried it on as soon as the package arrived. Love it!!!
I was very concerned about it being too short in length. It hits about 2-2.5 inches above the knee so okay there. I sat to make sure it doesn't ride up too far and shows too much thigh- okay there too. Because I sized up I may or may not have it tweaked a tiny bit in the sides.Will ask my tailor gal her opinion.
One thing I did notice- the sleeves were snug but not too snug for me.
I am ready for a dressy night out- now I just need the man :)

Have a cruise and a wedding to attend and this dress will be perfect for both occasions. It is extremely comfortable with a super soft lining. This dress is simple but elegant and the sequins catch the light beautifully. I will enjoy stepping out wearing this "Black Beauty."

This dress is everything I hoped it would be. The fit is perfect, it looks amazing!

I must confess that I only ordered this dress because of the great reviews. Boy, am I ever glad that I did! This is the PERFECT little black dress.

I ordered this dress for a party. I am a mature curvy woman so I took a chance. Glad I did!!! The dress is very flattering and quite well made. I ordered the gold, and it is quite classy. Look forward to wearing it!

I love this dress. It is extremely well made. The sequins are a beautiful antique gold and there are tons of them. The lining is also very comfortable and the sleeves are long enough for my very long arms. If you are tall though, it will be short- shorter than in the picture. I like that because I want to wear it with tights, but I can see it being a problem for others.

I love the colors and long sleeves, but I would never order a dress this short! It is so hard to find stylish evening wear for those of us that are older.

I felt like I could backup sing for the Supremes! What a gorgegous dress. I received a LOT of compliments. I ordered the dress for a play at the Kennedy Center, it came the day before - in the wrong size. I have never had that happen before. Knowing there was no way I was going to loose 10 lbs. overnight - Coldwater Creek was awesome with the exchange. I would highly recommend this dress for any special occasion.
