Dotted lace illusion dress

This is a really cute dress but, the zipper was not properly sown in the dress, I had it repaired and cleaned before I wore the dress. This is a shame since I paid full price for the dress. CWC needs to do more to insure that the quality of their clothing matches the price.

I didn't have any issues with this dress, bought an 8 and 10 and could wear both but will stick with 10 for a little less cling...but 8 was a nice close and cute fit but wasnt comfortable with the curve hugging. I agree that dress would have been its absolute best with same design in a more structured fabric than the nylon shell and poly lining..Cotton would have been nice. Despite the material i do think this will be a good summer evening dress to be worn either casual or dressy.

Far too light weight and honestly cheap feeling for the $. It doesn't have any weight to it so it doesn't hang well. Also, feels like it will snag on everything and anything. Will be returning it unfortunately.

I love the idea of this dress, but I feel like on it looks a bit cheaper and the gathers at the waist make some of the bottom portion lay a bit funny. I felt like you could see my panties even though you really couldn't. Disappointing.

I love this dress, but like baxtermom, have an issue with a lump where the zipper ends on the hip, and with the velvety trim bunched at the bottom.

I, too, am wearing this to a wedding and don't want to return. SO, last night,I lightly sprayed the velvet trim and the hem with premium starch(that doesn't have a powdery residue). I then used a steam-iron over cheesecloth to create a crisp-boxy hem like what is pictured. This also effectively flattened the velvet bias strip nicely.

As for the zipper, I made a couple of tugs to the threads, which are just sewn way too tight. I ironed this from the inside and it helped.

I'm keeping this dress because I need it for a wedding soon and can find nothing else, but the bottom of the side zipper sticks out awkwardly. The heavy trim sewn towards the bottom also sticks out in several places (most likely a seam). It's not a well-made dress. I was able to steam it and improve it a bit, but I am only keeping it because I need it now!

This dress looks wonderful on and is as light as a feather. So comfortable! It wasn't even out on the rack yet this morning, but the wonderful sales people brought it out for me. I cannot wait for warmer weather to be able to wear it!
