Violet shadows maxi dress

I agree it was very short-waisted, and the back hem was also a bit short for a high heel. I removed the tie from the waist and used a purple silk scarf as a belt. Worked great. Will probably shorten it so the back will be tea length but keep the high low look.

I wore this to my daughter's college graduation which was back in our old hometown. The dress was perfect - comfortable, pretty, and flattering.

I'm short and slightly Rubenesque (yet long waisted). I found the slightly raised waistline very flattering for my thicker mid-section and JLo rump. The flow of the dress took the eye elsewhere.

The dress made me feel so good that my sister took probably the best picture I've ever seen of myself.

I'm short waisted so I didn't have much issue with where the waist hit on this dress. It is so pretty and flow-y. I also love the high neckline. It's a perfect dress for work or church and then lunch. I'm between a 10 and a 12 but all they had was a 12 so I got it. I like that the armholes aren't so big that they gap open. I guess if I have one issue it's that I needed to buy a bra that criss-crosses in the back so my bra straps don't show at my shoulders. It's a really pretty dress and I'm so glad I go it.

I don't have the problem with the waist like others have said...love the colors, love the fabric..but I don't like the hem so I got it shortened so its straight all the way around..now it's perfect foe me !

This dress has a beautiful fabric, lightweight, and has gorgeous colors...however, the waistline hits three fingers just below the chest, way above a 'normal' waistline. Because of the unflattering fit on someone who is thick in the area where accentuates, this dress went back. It is made for slender and small trunked women.

The dress is a tiny bit snug at the chest-under the arms and the waist IS a bit high, but the dress is lovely and I'm keeping it and really looking forward to wearing it. The high-low hemline is super flattering. Being short, I normally avoid "maxi" dresses. My only wish is that the dress was a little less modest at the neckline. Not plunging, just a bit more of a scoop. Adding a pair of fun shoes and my outfit for a summer wedding is complete!

This dress is lovely on and perfect for spring and summer. As another person stated, the waist seemed a little high, but that didn't bother me enough to give it up. I like the high neck modesty so I can wear to Church and anywhere. I was afraid that maybe the back being longer than the front was too party looking and strange, but then my daughter in law told me she loved it on me and that the high-low hem was the style now. Nice to know that Coldwater is keeping up with the trends in a stylish but modest way!

Picked this up for a friends wedding in May. I'm normally a size 14 at CWC, and the 14 did fit well in the waist and hips, but was a bit snug in the chest for my 38 D cups. Swapped to the 16 and it worked fine. So, I'd say mostly true to size, but may need to go up 1 if you are very busty.

This is a lovely little dress for an outdoor celebration. The hem makes it unique...but I was disappointed that the waistline on me seemed short. I thought I may have picked up a petite size. Just loved it. Wish I could have felt better about buying it. I hope someone buys this and is happy with it. It's adorable.
