Anytime maxi dress

I worn this dress for my Mothers Day lunch out with my children and I loved it. It was casual and dressy. I wore it with red jewelry and shoes and it looked very nice. I got several compliments. The material is a little heavier knit and it fell nicely. I am tall and I usually have problems with the waist, but this dress fit nicely. It was shorter than some of the other maxi dresses I got from CW, but I liked the length, it fell a few inches below my knees. I am glad I got it and will wear it a lot during the summer.

Unfortunately, I have seen more and more dresses with too high waists. I am 5'5" and 135 pounds. This one is high waisted plus the band around the middle is way too wide. I got my normal M size and there was no draping around the middle. So, I ordered up to a L thinking that maybe my bust was causing the front bodice length to the waist to be shorter. Well, unfortunately, not so! The only difference in the two sizes was the band around the waist was even wider! Otherwise it fit the same, armholes and all. Too bad - this dress could have been so cute! I loved the fabric! Plus, like an another reviewer said, there is no breast pocket like shown on line.

The fit of this dress is fabulous! True to size; perhaps even a little large. Love the heavier fabric; not flimsy as some containing spandex. Would gladly order another if more colors were available. I am 5'7" and the length is perfect. Did not have the pocket featured which was great because I had planned to remove it.

Dress came in the mail today and I was disappointed that the dress was really not like the picture. There was no pocket and the band in the middle was much larger than the picture lets on. I ordered the petite so maybe this dress would look better on someone who is much taller than me
