Belted dotted dress

I watched this dress for several months. Unfortunately my shape is not designed to look good in flowy top and bottom. The waist was too short, and too much material on top. Oh well!

The reason I gave this as many stars as I did is because the fabric and pattern are beautiful! But the fit is awful. I am not sure exactly who could wear this well. The top was extremely loose and resembled a tent. (that may be a first for me as I am a DD!) SO I thought I could just maybe pull the waist down like the picture shows but it doesn't stay. The elastic hits right at the bra band which would actually be OK if that didn't make the shoulders of the dress stand 5 inches off my shoulders. I really wanted to love this because the style looks so cute. It just doesn't actually fit a real body the way it looks like it would in the picture. I don't even think sizing down would help so it is going back.

Was looking for an easy travel dress for a graduation and wedding late spring. This was to be the perfect dress that would also translate to the office. I am top heavy with slim hips. The bodice fit and draped perfectly, but the skirt flared and made my hips look huge. Sadly, this will be a return.

I ordered this in a size 24 and it is too big. The picture is deceptive because the belt hides the thin elastic waist that really makes the top sort of a billowy blouse. The waist is not tapered and fitted at all. Aso, it's not a "belt" as much as it is a tie made of the same material.
I like the cut of the top, the neckline, and the skirt, but I don't know that it will look good on a plus size body - even if I order a size down. Like the other reviewer said, the waist hits in a weird spot and I tried pulling it up and down, just not working.
I am apple shaped, but the lines in the image provided look like I could get away with it, especially with a cute cardigan, but I don't know. At this point, I think I may need to order 2 sizes down. I generally wear a 22 24. I will exchange for a 22 and change my review later.

I usually have a difficult time getting a dress to fit over my abundant front, and also not ride up at the waist. This dress fits just right and is so light and airy I can hardly wait for a sunny, warm day.It hits just below my knees and will be easy to just throw on and meet someone for lunch in a moments notice.

When I saw this dress I thought it was so cute and couldn't wait to order it. I was so disappointed when I tried it on. I am 5'5" and wear a size 8. It is not flattering at all. The neck line is very low but I don't think you could wear anything underneath it to make it less revealing. The elastic waist hits you at a funny place and I felt the need to keep adjusting it and pulling it down. This made the hem line fall unevenly and constantly need to be checked. The dress looked like it was longer on one side than the other. Material is on the thin side and the black is more of a dark charcoal gray. Very pricey for what it is. It is being returned.

Love, love this classy, pretty, classic wardrobe staple. The fabric is airy and flowy. So beautiful. Great quality and construction.
I'm usually a size 6 on top, 4 on bottom and am 5'6", 36B with broadish shoulders. The size 4 fit perfect except it was too tight across my shoulders; hem was right above the knee. The size 6 fit great in the shoulders, but the bodice is blousier, which is ok with me and is nice if you have any mid section issues to camouflage; hem was mid knee cap. It's expensive, but grab it while you can. There aren't very many stores carrying it and I'll bet it won't last until it goes on sale.
