State of lace pencil skirt

Thrilled when I opened the box, unfortunately after wearing it one evening it stretched out of shape in the waist and hip area. The second time I wore the skirt, it twisted on my body because it was at least one size bigger.

This is a wonderful skirt, fits true to size, very comfortable, very flattering, very classy. I've worn it to a number of "black tie" events, and never fail to receive compliments. As you can tell, I love it, and anticipate wearing it for years.

I ordered both colors online based on the available reviews at the time of the purchase. This garmet is true to size. Both the lace and the lining have enough elasticity to provide a very comfortable fit. This is not stiff lace. Mobility, comfort, elegance - What more can you ask for? Buy it before it's gone!

This is a stunning lace skirt, especially wonderful for tall women. I am 5'10" and it falls just below my knee, which is a very elegant length for this shapely skirt. It is stretchy and really comfortable. Due to the stretch I had to size down by one size. I am wearing it to a winter wedding, but will wear it for many more occasions. Get it while you can!

I am writing this review because of previous statements by "cherie" and my experience with the item. Buy this item while you can, for you will receive a wonderful skirt for a great price. I have wanted an elegant lace skirt since I started seeing them is stores last winter, 2011, but I kept finding problems with them (light color, lace pattern, poor fit, etc...) I was excited when I first saw this lace skirt in the fall. I purchased the navy lace skirt in my normal size, and later went back to purchase the black. I RARELY buy two items of the same design unless they are essentials, but I loved every aspect of this piece. The lace has a enough stretch to flatter almost any shape and the size and quality are true to Coldwater Creek's standards. I do not find the skirt to be itchy or sparkly. However, I would recommend that you sit, try to keep your legs together. I hope Coldwater Creek with introduce new colors, such as a deep-rose red or a dark-blue teal, using the same design.

I purchased this skirt a week ago and it is beautiful. Love the design. I normally wear between a 12 and 14. I purchased the 14 and it was too big in the waist and somewhat roomy. I'm returning to get the size 12 in both the black and the blue. I love the skirt.

I passed this over in the store on three consecutive trips until I was in the fitting room and my personal shopper brought it in for me to try on. I immediately knew this would be a staple in my work and evening wardrobe. So figure flattering. There is a hint of sparkle to the fabric that dresses it up but it easily pairs with a jacket or twin set for the office.

The one drawback is this does not have a kick pleat so it is difficult stepping into a car. Sit first then swing legs in. Fabric is slightly itchy so I recommend a cami to tuck in under your sweater or jacket.

Wonderful fitting skirt, as someone else stated, do have to go slow with zipper so no snagging, but fits great, beautiful fabric and a very dressy addition to my wardrobe! I love it. They were out of dark blue, so got black, would love to see more colors perhaps a dark red?

I too was thrilled to see this skirt online in my size. I am a large girl and pencil skirts are usually not for me. I skeptically ordered it, hoping agaist hope. This skirt fit like a dream! It also came in my favorite color, navy. I wore it to a wedding recently and felt so good in it. My only issue is the zipper, you have to be really careful not to snag the lace. BUT - GOOD JOB ON THIS ONE CWC. Also, keep the navy coming.
