Cable cardigan

I have been a customer for many years, but lately I am seeing poor quality fit and wear. This sweater was beautiful until I wore it for an hour. The fabric frayed and pilled to the point I can't wear it except around the house.

Washed and wore and will never wear out in public again. Pills were flying off the sweater, used my pill remover, wore again and after just going to the store there were so many pills under the arm I was embarrased to wear again.

I have this in purple--purchased in my regular CC size. Looks great--the shimmer is subtle but attractive. Looks professional--you can wear a tank or blouse underneath. Length works well. I only wish it had pockets for my cell phone and lipstick.

I have worn my black one several times and hand washed once with no pilling problems. It's still beautiful. Don't wash it so much it's not needed.

My recommendation is YES, but with reservations. The comments referencing pilling are right on. Fortunately I have the black version so the pills aren't immediately obvious. The very first time I wore it, it pilled badly. Hadn't even been washed yet. The sleeves are a little long but I can live with them, however they tend to stretch out with wearing. Washing shrinks them back down, but they stretch out again with the next wearing. It's a nice looking sweater, if you don't look too close.

I just saw the reviews on this and thought I must be missing something. I've had this sweater for a while, wear it to work. I just took it out of the closet to look at it and there is NO pilling. I think people are washing these sweaters too much. I also knit with luxury yarns and I seldom wash a sweater unless I drop something on it. When I do I hand wash and dry flat. It's an open front sweater, I'm always going to have something on under it so why wash it all the time? I love my red one and am now ordering in black since it's on sale! Don't do so much machine washing even if the tag says you can. It's not good for knits.

I have been buying from Coldwater for years. If your sweater did not wear like you thought it should, take it back to the store for a return!

I love the look of this, but it was pretty much skin tight, despite my ordering it in a 1x (I normally wear about a 16). Tiny. Very disappointing.

I wore it once and washed it and lay it flat to dry, and the fuzz ball just flew off it as I took it from the washer to drying rack. Am undecided about returning it, as it is a nice sweater. Will there be anything left in a year?

This is a pretty sweater and I like the sparkles in the front cabled area. A lot of sweaters are too thin to keep me warm during winter, but this one is thick and keeps me comfy and cozy. Yes, it does pill, but I use my battery-operated fuzz shaver after every wearing, and that takes care of it. If you don't want to fuss with that kind of maintenance, then I don't recommend it. But otherwise, it's a very nice warm sweater.
