3/4 sleeve velvet dress

I love the color and fit of this dress. The color is reminiscent of vintage velvet, and the fit is true to size. (I'm 5'9" and generally wear a size 6 or 8, and the small fits me perfectly.) I've paired the dress with the Ombre collection of jewelry (also on clearance on CWC's outlet site) and they look terrific together. I can't wait to wear them all to a holiday party tomorrow night. One question to anyone who has this dress . . . have you tried hand washing it? I know it says dry clean, but I don't have time for that before the party tomorrow, and the dress is wrinkled from shipping. Suggestions?

something about this dress I find very pretty. I like the different red pinkish color. I bought in a small and returned for a medium.looks richer with a little extra pretty velvet fabric ... then I like it with a skinny little belt. the belt changes the look completely giving a more slimming and flattering and fashionable look paired with high heels. For reference 5 foot 7 145 lbs and 36C... Mine ran true to size for a rich look. belted looks great... Don't care for without belt... Looks younger with belt.

Though I read the reviews, several of which mentioned the color, I gave this a try. It is not burgundy or red. It's a non-flattering hue that's not pink, either. It looks like it didn't stay in the dye solution long enough. As for the fit, it was nice through the bust, and the arms fit. The midriff area showed everything you wouldn't want to show unless you were a gym rat. Going back.

I wore it with a black cape to a holiday concert at a Hollywood theater. I felt totally elegant! It fits well and is comfy to wear. I'm planning to wear it (with a white wool blazer) to a holiday open house this week.

Was so looking forward to this dress,the color is beautiful, but the cut makes me look very wide & would have to wear spanx with it, shows every bump. Wish it had been just a few inches longer also. Sadly, will go back.

I really wish the dress were red, but it's a sort of pink. I must admit it fits well and is perfect for those pear-shaped gals out there. Not the most favorite dress in my closet, but is good for those times when I want comfort.

This dress is an odd shade of red, not a true red but with a touch of brown. Not flattering to me.

I have been watching this dress for over a year on CWC outlet (which says something about its marketability), thinking it cannot possibly look good on this 210 lb. 5'8" age 60 body with its rolls and ridges. But I finally took the plunge, buying on sale at a great price--and the XXL does in fact look great on me! I love the neckline, and the color is luminous.

I really like the dress. It looks very figure flattering onn me and the color burgundy is pretty. I am going to wear it on thanksgiving day with my boots and feel comfortable and pretty all day long. It's a winner.........

I bought this dress in black, long ago and it is really beautiful and it has great fit. I am not that tall like the comments said. I am 5 feet 6" tall and it looks very good, not that long not that short. If you are shorter you should order on petite size. It is very classy.
