Linen shirt jacket

I have this jacket in blue and in the green shade and I love them both and wear them all the time.

I love this jacket. I have it in brown. It looks very nice layered. One potential issue if you have longer hair is that your hair can get tangled on the buttons on the back of the jacket. Ouch!

Got the blue today,in PM. I am five four, 150 lb, short waisted, smaller shoulders, larger hips (41 I think), perfect loose and slightly boxy fit, which is what I like to cover those hips. This is a shirt by itself or jacket with a tank, 3 4 or long sleeves, button up or leave open. Very versatile, and sooo much detail. The pocket and all the cute buttons really add to this shirt, not plain jane at all. Went ahead and washed it & put in dryer just a few minutes, then hung to dry. Came out perfect. Will need a little ironing. Fabric is linen but feels like the softest silky cotton. PM feels great but I could probably get by with a PS. Color is actually more like a purplish denim blue, not quite what I expected but I love the fit and feel so much I'm keeping it.

Don't see what all the fuss over the chest pocket is, it adds detail to a casual jacket.
To get a shorter jacket I ordered a petite in my regular size. The green color lends it's self to a fall color more than a spring green blending with tans and browns quite well. I just wish it wasn't dry clean.

I agree with Josie - that pocket on the chest had to go. It made the shirt-jac seem like a mans shirt. I'm a seamstress so it was easy to use a seam ripper and remove it. I also removed the three buttons on the back yoke - they were not functional and only cheapened this item. It does run large - I usally always wear a medium at CC but this one was big, even in a small. But, like another reviewer, I also washed and dried it and the size small is now fine - loose like a jacket should be. I got the brown and may have to order the blue too. I wish it came in a lighter khaki color or beige - the color you usually think about with linen. And, of course the fabric is a little coarse and it wrinkles. That's what linen does. I think the casing at the bottom gives it more a more feminine feel.

I ordered this shirtjack in the green because the photo showed it to be a light airy jacket in a nice limey green. Not so. It is actually a heavy coarse fabric in a dark avocado color with clunky metal buttons! Returned it immediately.

Got the green and like it a lot, but did not like the left chest pocket at all. Fortunately, it was easy to remove (be very careful with seam cutter not to cut shirt!). Then I noticed the right side has an odd backwards "fake" pocket on the inside. What's that about? I may try to remove that one, too, although it looks to be more difficult. Yes, the shirt runs large and I'm glad I read reviews and got one size smaller.

This shirt jacket runs a little on the big side and is not fitted at all. I ordered a smaller size and love it for casual in Southern California.

I got this lovely linen shirt-jacket in taupe in a 3X and it arrived HUGE! So I returned it and got the 2X. Much better. Very nice quality and the jacket is perfect over a tank or a tee. I only gave it 4 stars cuz it does wrinkle, being linen and all. But still worth it. I wish I could get the other colors but alas my size is gone. I will keep checking though. Love it!

Nice sharp looking workmanship. Fits well. This will make a great jacket for 3 seasons. Look forward to wearing it.
