Sales tax is charged on items shipped to states where Coldwater Creek has a retail store or other physical location, or where a store will open. Sales tax is charged on merchandise, and may be charged on shipping and handling based upon individual state laws. Coldwater Creek remits all taxes collected directly to the taxing jurisdiction.
Sales tax rates and laws are constantly changing, and calculation errors may occur. If, at any time, you believe sales tax on your purchase is in error, please contact customer service and any necessary corrections will be made immediately.

Coldwater Creek reserves the right to add or remove items from our website, at any time, at our discretion. Merchandise selections offered during sale or promotional periods may differ from merchandise selections offered during non-sale or non-promotional periods.

If an item is unavailable
If an item is unavailable, you will have the option to select from available sizes and colors. You can then continue shopping or proceed to checkout.
If an item is backordered
When you add an item to your cart that is backordered, the approximate shipping date will be prominently displayed on the product detail page. If the item won't arrive by the time you need it, you can delete it in Your Shopping Cart.
In the Coldwater Creek Online Outlet, products are not available for backorder. If your selection is unavailable, you will receive an onscreen message informing you that we are unable to add this item to Your Shopping Cart.

Redeeming Merchandise Credits
At our stores
Present your merchandise credit slip to a sales associate.
Have your merchandise credit slip handy so you can give the credit
and transaction numbers to the customer service representative.

At the Order Review page of checkout, select Merchandise Credit from the drop-down menu at the bottom of the page and click Continue. Enter the Credit Number, Transaction Number and Amount as shown on the illustration below. After you've entered the numbers, click Apply and Continue.
To enter another credit, click Apply and Add Another. You may apply up to three per order. To complete check out, click Apply and Continue.

Purchasing Gift Cards
E-gift cards are delivered to an e-mail inbox. E-gift cards are available in a range of pre-determined amounts, from $20.00 to $500.00 and arrive within a few hours. Add each gift card to your cart separately in order to include a message for each. E-gift cards are valid when they arrive.
Gift cards sent through regular mail take seven to ten business days to arrive are valid when they get there.

Redeeming Gift Cards & Gift Certificates
When you arrive at the Order Review page of checkout, select Gift Card from the drop-down list at the bottom of the page and click Continue. You will be prompted from there.
You may combine up to two gift cards to pay for one order online. If you have more you'd like to apply to a single order, call 800.510.2808 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. ET daily, and a customer service representative will help you.
A credit card is required to redeem your gift card if your balance due is more than the amount of your gift card. The balance will be placed on your credit card.
If your purchase, including shipping, handling and applicable taxes, is less than the amount of your gift card, the balance will remain on the gift card.

Sales Tax on Gift Cards
We do not charge sales tax on the purchase of gift cards.
Gift Cards and Discount Offers
Discounts cannot be applied to the purchase of gift cards. When purchasing a gift card online, if you enter an offer code, the discount will be applied only to the other merchandise in your order.
When a gift card is redeemed, it can be combined with a valid discount offer and used to pay for any merchandise, including sale merchandise; just like cash.
We pack your gift in a lovely box tied with a flourish of ribbon. We also include (if you wish) a gift card with your personal message, handwritten by one of our skilled message writers.
Gift boxing is $5.95 per item. In Your Shopping Cart, just check Gift Box and a message field will appear for you to enter your message (50 characters maximum).
